This beer is for you Bob... Had several large fittings lined up so instead welding them up and smoothing them out, I them out and welded in a "clean out" channel... Added the angle for mid plate... Complete midplate tacked in... Quick view the firebox door on and the tank door mocked up...

Made a little progress, the exhaust pipe is cut and welded up, hindges made and door mounted. Next I'm going to make some adjustable baffles and then makes some racks...

Shouldn't the exhaust be on the other end so the heat travels thru the cooking chamber ?

It's a reverse flow style smoker. I remember it threw me off the first time I saw one. I've always wanted to build one. The heat is supposed to be a lot more evenly distributed. I'm hoping it'll do better burning wood than my last one so I won't have to buy so much expensive charcoal. I stole this diagram off another site...

This will be my next type of smoker I build. Have always wanted a reverse flow. Just costs so much compared to what I build now. Good job though. Looking good. Will be able to cook for an army on that thing.

I had the material laying around for several years so I needed to go ahead and throw it together. I doubt I keep it, I'll either give this one to dad or sell it. However, I would like to build an insulated cabinet smoker for the patio for myself.

Made a few adjustable dampers so the heat fine tuned in... Made the racks for the meat... Working on the wood basket for the fire box and then I got to add some extra air vents for the fire box.
