I couldn't help myself... the car was speaking to me every time I went to go see it! So I decided to take it home! 1964 Catalina 4D Sedan 389 with Roto Hydramatic 3 speed auto.. Base model... not a lick of comfort addons! Went from this.... To this... Then found this in the trunk... It's gonna be a fun little project I think... right now it needs a water pump, tires, and the tranny looked at.. I think the tranny just needs a cable hooked up from researching.. shifts from 1st to 3rd if it's in drive... Mike... I also found out that "S" doesn't stand for second.. it actually stands for "Super". More pics to come when I have more time to take some!!

Is that a one piece pan? If so that's not bad at all. My Chevelle truck was three pieces and was $150 a piece. Go here: www.opgi.com/restoration-parts-catalog-grand-prix-bonneville-catalina.aspJust looked thru and they have alot of the stuff you talked about yesterday. If you get a wild hair...... I might be able to get my hands on a 2x4 intake for a 389/400 Pontiac. The father in law had it on his GTO when he got out of the Army in '70. He's still got it sitting on a shelf in his garage.

I'm thinking flannel shirts, black hair nets, a couple AK's, a couple sawed off's, and some tequila. I can be Jose', you can be Paco, and we'll figure out who the rest of the Mexicans are. This would be awesome!
