Don't forget to pre-lube before start up. Older SBC engines you could pull the distributor and spin the oil pump. The LS engines have to have pressurized oil pumped in. If you don't know Google it.

For sure! I actually have a fitting that threads into an oil passage which will allow me to prime the oil pump so there is no oil delay. Every component that rides on another component has also been coated with assembly lube or soaked in oil as well.

Some HP engines have four bolts in the cap and one on each side through the side of the block for extra strength at higher RPM making it a six bolt main. Can't see the side very well is reason I asked. Carry on! My apologies. Apparently I need to get up to date. I haven't built a high HP engines in years. Same here. Im use to old school. Wish id had time to go help or observe that one to learn a little about the new engines |

Thanks for helping out Chris! Couldn't have gotten it in without you. Man this thing is badass. Sounds awesome! Honestly with this being my first engine build I was a little worried but I guess I had nothing to worry about.  |

I didn't expect it either lol...I thought the battery would be dead or that it wouldn't have enough juice...and it really didn't have much juice but I guess it was enough!
