Got everything cleaned up now, painted my oil pan in black crinkle paint, primed my throttle body, intake manifold, valley cover, and fuse box cover to be painted gloss black. Debating on whether or not to paint the water pump and front cover.. If I do paint them it would be either gloss black or gunmetal...thoughts/suggestions? My block is going to be chevy orange just like the LSX block, valve covers already match as they are LSX376 valve covers. Heads will remain unpainted. Just a waiting game on getting the block work done now. The lifters and bearings should be here tomorrow, then I can take the block, bearings, pistons/rods, crank, and lifters to the machine shop to get it worked on.

Taking it to BB&T in southaven Dennis and Derrick are good people. I've known and ran with them for years back when I had a street car.

Dennis seemed really knowledgeable and was also very friendly to deal with. Glad I took it to them, although the time frame doesn't work out with what I'd hoped.

Well hopefully my block will be finished today or tomorrow for me to pick up. I changed directions slightly and bought a new rotating assembly - going with a forged 416 setup running a flex fuel sensor so I can use e85, and swapped from 3.45's to 3.91 gears in the rear. Just waiting on 1 thing now - the block!!!

If I did boost it, it would be a big turbo or twins. At the moment, the only plan in the near future...and by near I mean 2-3 years...would be building the rest of the rear end and throwing on some nitrous...probably around a 300 shot.
