Well guys I figured now would be a good time as any to show off my Camaro. I've had it for about two years now. What it is exactly? A 2010 Camaro SS with the 6 Speed and the LS3 6.2L Engine. Bought it with 8k miles and it was my DD until this past Tuesday 4/14 when my TJ arrived. She now has 32k miles and is a moody b****. Devin will attest to that! haha I've done a LOT of stuff to it. Performance Mods are: BIG Cam, Ported Heads, Headers, Ported FAST LSXR Intake Manifold, Over the Radiator Intake, Ported Throttle Body, Electric Exhaust Cutouts, Short Throw Shifter, 1200HP capable Monster Twin Clutch, Underdrive Pulley, Line Lock, Lowering Springs, and Strut Brace. Other Mods: Interior Gauges, Original 69' Camaro Script Fender Emblems, Stripes, HUGE Cowl Hood, Tint, Behind-The-Grille Lighting, Wheels, Custom Coil Pack relocation and LSX376 Valve Covers (engine is 376 cu in.) I missing a lot but there's been a lot done. UNFORTUNATELY, I was driving to work yesterday and the oil pressure dropped and I believe I have either a torn up lifter or a spun bearing. So, over the next 2 months I'll be pulling the engine, tearing it all the way down, and rebuilding it. I've always wanted to build an engine and I guess this is my opportunity so bear with me and I'll try to get as many pics as I can! Here's the most current picture with the hood - haven't gotten it painted or striped yet. Here she is the day I brought her home: Few more pics:

Nice! Get it built! I want a ride. Makes me wish I had my Chvelle finished. Maybe the damage won't be to bad.

I'll give you a ride when its all done! Unfortunately I'm not too optimistic about what I'm going to find in the engine...This is what was found in the oil just from swishing a magnet around in the drained oil.

Nice Camaro. Why does that picture of it sitting with the '55 and the firebird look so familiar to me ? That's not what you want to find in your oil !

Yeah that's not good. But if it was still running and just lost pressure then maybe it's not so bad. At least it wasn't a catastrophic failure.

Nice Camaro. Why does that picture of it sitting with the '55 and the firebird look so familiar to me ? That's not what you want to find in your oil ! Its from July 4, 2013 at the Bartlett Fireworks Show in front of Appling Fields. Maybe you remember it from then? And it certainly is not what you want to find. That's nice, I have a buddy with that body style that just put a turbo on his a couple months back. It's a beast... If I ever do forced induction its going to be a turbo! Yeah that's not good. But if it was still running and just lost pressure then maybe it's not so bad. At least it wasn't a catastrophic failure. Yeah I started hearing a little tick, checked around on my gauges, and the after market gauge I have lit up in front of me telling me oil pressure dropped below 25, so I cut off the key and coasted to a stop, then had it towed until I could have it checked out. Shop found that in the oil and wanted $2500 labor alone, so rather than pay that I decided to pull it and rebuild myself. That way I can find out the extent of the damage, exactly what failed, and replace anything and everything I want at a fraction of the cost. AND I'll know everything went together exactly how I personally put it back together - my motto is "Nobody cares about your stuff like you do". I'm thinking its going to be trashed crank bearings. I'm also going to bet that I have to replace my oil pump, cam, cam bearings, lifters, and rod bearings - as preventative I'm also going to toss in some new rings. About 14k miles ago, I had a cam gear shear off the pin on a single bolt cam. Engine jumped timing and bent ALL the valves. No piston damage, but upon cam removal, nearly all the cam lobes had very abnormally bad wear. It trashed most of my lifters too. It's been a while, but with all that previous damage and now this damage, I just want to go through and replace as much as I can and get the block machined and honed so that everything is A++ condition. Then I can decide if I want to keep it or sell it. Because as of right now, I'm so mad at this car and all the problems that I'm half tempted to set it on fire and run.

When you get it built I definitely want to take a ride.

That all looks to me like someone uses a lot of skinny pedal, I've seen that before
