Just hidden in my pics behind lines, so I wanted someone to verify it was suppose to be a normal bolt. Just empty every pocket Weezel...

Had about a week delay... Rubi hit the back burner until I made the runs at SL and HP. You only get but so many perfect weeks to ride, got to take advantage of them while you can!!! Well, I wanted to replace all the header bolts but dealer wanted freak'n over $4 each for the bolts. So I went to the bolt store and bought 12 hardened metric bolts for a couple bucks. As I feared the heads were too big. Damn I hate reusing header bolts. And as I was torquing down the header bolts, I broke another... urrgggghhh. I made due with a couple of the new bolts. She's ready to slide in tonight. I made damn sure to clean the threads on the tranny bolts and block. I dread putting them bastards back in...

Did you ever determine the failure in the other engine? You may have told and I missed it don't know?

Did you ever determine the failure in the other engine? You may have told and I missed it don't know? Nah, I pulled the front two mains and they looked good. Just haven't taken the time to dig deeper

Swung by for an hour to fix my screw up... Removed the intake, drilled the hole, and screwed in the heli coil. Taped up the ports and stuck the vacuum next to the hole to catch the shavings. If I can squeeze in enough time, I should have this wrapped up this weekend.

Anyone know how to prime an engine that has an oil pump in the timing cover? I'm open for suggestions...

You should be able to get a priming tool for it just like you'd use on one inside the block. At least that's what I did when I primed the 3.8 V6 in my Grand National, which had the oil pump inside the timing chain cover.

Now, don't go buy any other vehicles. Well, at least if you do just bring home a new engine with it!
