Ha. Time to fix this crap and get it where I want it to be.
Thinking of doing a 5r55e swap. If I can figure out how to do it.

I'd love a JKU Rubi. But my money tree never sprouted.

Is your trans elec shifted and / or does it have a seperate TCM module or by the ECM?
Does it have a TV cable? Almost sounds like not enough line pressure.
May be time to go 5-SPD!?!

It's electric controlled. Solenoids on ten valve body.
Kickdown cable.
I'm gonna check line pressure as soon as I get a gauge.

I've been reading the last few minuets. (Shocking I know ) It seems the most common problem for no OD is a bad solenoid. But I think you've already addressed that right? The next most common issues is either a sticking valve in the VB or the OD servo. What I've read is that a "basic" rebuild of clutches, gaskets and seals is not enough. Also one article said the gov. can cause issues as well.
I'm sure you've heard this already but maybe a reman would be a better investment in the long run since you plan on keeping it, or take it and have it rebuilt and road tested to ensure its done right. I know it's more but look at the time and money you've got in it and it's still not working correctly. My opinion take it for what it's worth.

Sooo, do you still have this? If so, do you want a Chilton's (I think) manual for it? I have one that my dad bought for his Ranger that covers the Bronco II if you want it.

Valve body was rebuilt and then replaced... Gov changed. Bands. Etc.
I have a Haynes and chilton book both; but thanks for the offer.
