I'm thinking about putting a little bit of an angle on them. I don't really like them straight up and down like that. What do you guys think? I tried to angle mine so that the shock will be straight up an down at full droop. I'm sure the shocks are just stuck in there for fitment right now, but turn the eyes 90 degree before welding the tabs since the shocks will need to swing side to side when flexing.

Did some fabbing today on this... The addition of the shock mount, it's not welded in all the way because I ran out of wire. This is one of three different ideas I had, I'm thinking it'll work just fine... Had to cut some pieces off of the factory roll bar and weld them onto this cage for the windshield mounts.... Got to finish welding some things and then sand and paint it. Looks like this mod will be done before the run in October.

No sir. This is the cage I got from Coony. I'm just having to change some things up in order for it to fit "properly" in the YJ.

Looking good man. That's a great upgrade! Thanks man. I still have to cut that horizontal bar from across the top of the dash. It's gotta be dropped down about 3". I'll do that after the run in October, maybe.....or maybe I'll do it before. Who knows

Uuuuuh there's still a hole in your windshield! Yes there is. And until I start driving it on the streets again, it'll stay that way...

Ok, after thinking and playing with tape to see what I wanted to do, then changing my mind, then talking to my fabrication consultant, then deciding on a way to finish it, then changing my mind again, I came up with this to finalize the shock mount..... Spread eagle....

Also got the horizontal bar moved down. Had to drop it a full 3" and only got one of the vertical supports ready for welding. I sleeved it with some of the left over DOM tubing that was used on Bobs steering kit. You can see on the passenger side support how it's been sleeved in...
