The stinger is awesome, yet at the same time completely uncalled for and obnoxious and that's why I love it!!! I gotta cut some plate for the end of it at some point. And yes Mike, I'm done with the bender, was gonna send it with Bobs to work tomorrow nite with that iPhone.

I forgot to ask, how did the auto do on the trail? Have you driven it enough to know how the OD works?

I forgot to ask, how did the auto do on the trail? Have you driven it enough to know how the OD works? . My jeep will never be driven fast enough for the overdrive to kick in. The tranny pulled great, never gave me any issues. Now if I could just train my left foot to stop trying to work the clutch I'll be set!

Just saw this, you started and finished a project, on a trail vehicle, SERIOUS??? I didn't think that was possible. One of these days I am actually going to have to try that. I don't think ive completely finished anything ive ever started on the Toyota.
Congrats

Looks good Bob. Congrats on wheeling a day and it making it back to the trailer under its own power. I was nervous getting it out on the trails, can't deny that at all. By the end of the day I was ALMOST at my usual driving habits and had gotten a little more comfortable and a lot more confident with him. I'll feel a ton better after a couple more trips out. I sit and think about what all I had issues with and I'm hoping the way he's built now has taken care of those issues. The leafs are completely different, the shackle reversal is amazing, the rear axle housing has been put together alot better than the last time, the anti-wrap bar seems to function MUCH better with the new mount on the new axle. I was real happy and pleased with him so far.

I imagine it just plain out works better, that alone keeps you having to drive it as hard. At least until Fireball kicks in.

Someone lock this thread. This rig has been sold and now lives out of state.
