Probably has them turned to correct pinion angle.

He sent this to me over the weekend Shouldn't the perches be at about the same angle as the pinion or it just the picture that makes it look way off ? Not if he's using one of them fancy cardigan joints.

It looks like they are setup so that the pinion is angled up towards the transfer case.

The spring perches need to be angled like that for the pinion angle.

Does your truss go between your spring perches or are the perches on top? I need a pic for future reference. He sent this to me over the weekend Thanks Weez. That gives me something to go on. And yes the perches are welded on where the pinion is 1-2* degrees below CL of the drive shaft. That way with acceleration and movement of the leafs when it torques up It will be at 0* or no more than +1* degrees of CL to keep vibrations down.

Not much to report. Chris got the ram mount fab'd up and welded to the axle along with the skid for it. We decided to keep the mount and the skid separate for when I slam into a rock. Picked up the lines for the steering, gonna go pick up a few fittings I need next week.

Awesome! Thats a big one to mark off the list Yupp. I can get a lot of stuff done now with these gears being installed. Still waiting on the t-case seal/gasket kit so now that's holding me up on doing the driveshaft. But there's a shit ton of stuff to do while I'm waiting.

Front axle's basically done. Just gotta hook up the brake lines and reconnect the steering. Got the gears, axles, calipers, rotors, diff cover installed. No, it's not getting fresh paint. I don't want to lose the character it took so long to get!!
