He has three of mine of various lengths and designs. That should be enough I hope.

Ok well I came home and wanted to check my oil pressure with my mechanical gauge. I plugged it up and started the engine, after letting it run for a few I checked to see what it was and it was below 10 Idk if my gauge is messed up or what Me and Keith checked it the other day and it was above 14 I did put in some stp oil treatment

You need 10 lbs for every 10k rpm

You need 10 lbs for every 10k rpm At 2000 rpm I have a little over 30 psi At hot idle which sits below 1000rpm I have 10 psi

What weight oil are you running? If it's this like 10w-30 or something, switch to 20w-50. The thicker oil will help with bearings that may or may not have a little too much wear in them. Just something to think about.

Just something to think about. I'm running 10w-40 right now I just changed oil yesterday, the next oil change I was considering using a rotella 15w

The oil is pump is driven by the rotation of the engine. The faster the engine runs the faster the pump the more pressure it makes. No engine has a steady oil pressure. If your dash gauge shows a steady pressure then it's a fancy idiot light with a needle not a true pressure gauge.

I agree with Mike. Mine drops when at an idle or red light. As you accelerate, it rises. normal.

When you hear it start rattling around at idle, that's when you have a problem. Did you change the oil pump? Maybe you said but the add hits me after page 3

Maybe you said but the add hits me after page 3 It's really not making any noises I changed oil yesterday and forgot that it takes 6 quarts so I'm a quart low. No I didn't change the oil pump

I wouldn't worry about it. That engine purrs like a kitten. It's the smoothest running 4.0 I've ever seen.

I have this humming noise that is constant and appears to come from the front. I immediately thought wheel bearings or pinion bearing.
I couldn't really tell if there was any play in the yoke, how do you check the wheel bearings ??

If it moves AT ALL you have bad wheel bearings.
