Well we have a running engine. Primed the carb once and spun it over a few times and she fired right up. Set the timing and warmed it up to operating temp. Holds a steady 40psi oil pressure at idle and jumps to almost 60psi when opening the throttle. Super stoked! Can't wait to drive it.

I can say that no more than I drove this thing with the wore out motor that the HEI dist. and Motorcraft carb upgrades were well worth it. It now has a much smoother idle and crisper throttle response. When I get it on the road and trails I hope the power and fuel mileage is on par with the rest. My timing light decided it was time to die last night so for now it's set by ear. I need to borrow a vacuum guage to set the carb, but for the most part it's all pretty close. Fires right up and runs smooth.

Got my uppers installed. Need to be cleaned a little more but overall in great shape. The new windows are tinted and the others are clear. Does anyone know about tinting soft top windows? Found a link online about the vac. lines. I had the supply hooked to the vent instead of the main. Now it all works great. Now there's a u-joint bad in the left shaft so the axle swap is getting moved up. Coming soon: Phase II

Installed! Junkyard find, '94 YJ family bar. Bolted right in in place of the other bar. Underpaid junkyard employee cut the perfect seatbelts for the rear so I have to go back and find more.

Also Picked up the u-joints for the shafts in the new axle this afternoon. Going back tomorrow for the seals. Spring perches will be here next week for the start of the SOA. Next I'll start on the 8.8 by removing the unneeded brackets and such to be ready to weld the perches on for the install.

I didn't listen and snapped two or three adapter flanges before I did mine and eventually installed a forged replacement yoke. Even with the bar, you should do the yoke vs the flange.

Yeah an anti-wrap bar will be built soon. Already have some plans for one.
