One nice addition to your table or cart is the clutter organizer SWAG Off Road sells. I havone on the side of my cart and I really love it. Keeps everything close and in place. Greg G I have seen that and have definitely considered it for my welding/fab table table.

Back to the grind... Triple checking measurements, tweaking the fitment, and prepping the inner/outer rocker for welding. I've learned, you can't have too many clamps...

Passenger rocker is in! It's going to be a glorious night of drilling spot welds and rust demolition! I'm shooting to remove the remainder of the floor board and the driver side rocker. Maybe I can start fitting the driver side rocker this weekend. A little AC/DC will be in order for the night to keep me motivated...

Flinstone power! Floor is out, most of the driver rocker is out. I need to do some cleaning up, couple small patches, and I'll be ready to put in the driver side rocker panels.

I went about driver side a bit differently. The rust wasn't as severe so I cut the driverside leg off lower. The inner quarter panel wasn't near as rotted either. I cheated and only cut the front portion off. Prepped the Driver side rockers Thought I would had the driver rocker ready to weld in Sunday, but it took longer to prep than I expected. Spent tonight refitting the inner rocker. It took me about 4 hours to get that extra 1/4", but it had to be done. It'll be ready to burn in first thing tomorrow evening. Then I can add in a couple braces, take some measurements, and cut out the dash and cowl. Yeah, more spot welds to drill out! I'm been pretty motivated and I'm pumped about getting the front half of the shell done.:hurray:

Decent progress last night. Driver rocker is welded in and the front dash/cowl/firewall is gone! I need to do some studying on where to cut the factory dash so I can graft the new dash panel in. In the mean time, I'm going to mock up the dash/cowl/firewall. I've got a few alignment issues with the new cowl, but I got a quick teaser pic of sexy new sheet metal...

Like that last pic! That's the way I was when my car was being worked on. I didn't have the place to do it then so my buddy from school that has a body shop was doing all the work for me. I would go by every day or two and see progress. It was a great feeling to finally see good metal where their was none weeks earlier.
Good job.
I got to get down there one day and see it since you not far away.

Yeah, getting the rockers in gave me some good motivation. It's starting to get to the point were rust isn't falling out every time I shake it.
I'm not sure why, but I'm looking forward to doing the minitubs and trunk. I'm also looking forward to doing a chromoly roll cage once the sheetmetal is in place.

All the years I spent in body shops and building my own stuff at home I've never seen anyone do such a meticulous job at home. Nice work Shad. Can't wait to see it back together. I'd love to come down and spray some color on it......
