I ment to ask what did you have to do to the pump? Didn't you say you had it rebuilt? It seamed to have a hard time starting up and really wasn't pushing the air it should. I found a local guy out of Pontotoc that rebuilt compressors for factories to look at it. He seemed kinda like a nut, you could tell he loved his job. It was pretty cool, he had a huge old warehouse that looked like a junk yard of of old time compressors real similar to mine. He pulls them from scrap yards and rebuilds them to sell. I told him I couldn't even find any literature on the Devilbiss 342, and then he said "You mean like this?" He pulled an old parts catalog from back when he use to sell Devilbiss compressors. You got to realize this thing was made in the 40's... You can't find hard parts, and no one even list rebuild kits for them. But he still had a bunch of parts in stock. He said the high side wasn't doing anything, but the low side was working some. To be honest I can't remember what all he said replaced and freshened up. Something about machining bearings, new rings, something on the top side, and said it'd should be good for another 20-25 years. I probably paid too much, but I'm glad to have something of my grandfathers that works. Surprisingly, she's pretty quiet... I'm going to name her "Big Bertha".

best compressor you'll ever own... We have an old DevilBiss from the 40's down in a barn, I've thought about it grabbing it for me when I move out so I'll have a big compressor but my dad told me I can take the big dual pump one that we are using now and he'll use the slightly smaller vertical one

There great compressors. Mine works good it's just slow (1750rpm vs. 3500rpm) compared to a new(ER) one. It's like a 40-50 gal capacity and holds 150-160 psi. I need new belts for mine, they slip when it kicks back on after you use it.
Yeah it's good to have something from family as a keep same of sorts.

Needed to start sandblasting a few items so I picked up a cabinet blaster... Modified the flange to fit my shop vac. I cut off a vacuum attachment and used some abs glue to stick it to the flange. I had to lower a section of shelf so it would be the right height. I also need to find a light mount to the inside so I can see better. It does pretty well...

Putting a tig welding cart together... Yeah, I started a while back, but I thought I'd finish it up. What color you guys think I should go with? A little Camaro swag to go with it... Thought my old tag would go good here... And with it all loaded up. I still need to mount a few tabs, tig rod holders, and some casters. But I'm not far from wrapping it up.

Sooooo need to come over and try out that tig.. Only tried it a few times but it was so nice! The tig isn't for everybody, but I love welding. A lot of times, I'm in a rush, so I use it a fraction of what I do the mig. The control is crazy, it's like driving a stick versus an automatic. If you screw up, you know it's your fault. It's just flat out addictive... It's been at my house every since my shop got broke into a couple years back and some dip wad stole my mig. I just now got brave enough to bring it to the shop, it'd be like I lost a child if it got stolen. I've built a steel cage to hold my welding equipment, so I feel somewhat better.

Built Reubens fuel cell with Clydes one time.. loved how it was so controllable.. even tho I had a bunch of leaks to fill in after I was done.. lol

One nice addition to your table or cart is the clutter organizer SWAG Off Road sells. I havone on the side of my cart and I really love it. Keeps everything close and in place.
