The unit next to mine just came open. Going to keep it long enough to do the body work. Sweetness got some lights to hang from her work. I'm going to cut a door to connect the units so I can walk between them. Filled the Silver Bullet to the brim when I cleaned it out... 06Blackmax may know this spot also if he's use to repairing lifts. Loaded up the light this morning, I'll be busy hanging them tonight. 10 fixtures should light that bitch up.

Don't know that. Save a lot and Fastenal is the only places in New Albany I've been. I don't do any work in Tupelo because their are to many dealers there.

I would have but afraid I was gonna get caught in the rain again like I did when I rode down there.. I lived in New Albany for a few years then moved to Tupelo and lived there for about 6.. This was right after my divorce so I went wild in a lot of those bars, which aren't even open anymore.. Got a friend that owns Mainstream Tattoos on Main street.. If ya need something done he's the guy, very talented!

JP's on Jefferson's burned down, SOB's on Gloster burned down, The Rib Cage and The Big Easy shut down. A lot of new places have opened, but I'm sure there's not as near as many cool places as around Southaven...

I looked like Texas Chainsaw Massacare when I came through that wall. Wish I had a video... Welded in some scrap tubing between the walls to keep other units honest. I covered it with plywood later. Hung one light, if I hung as many lights as I drank beers, I'd be finished with the lights...

Hung the ceiling lights, mounted a couple retractable electric chord, fixed the shelves, and wired some wall sockets. I should be ready to start the demolition of the Camaro...

Dang man! Are you going to be able to see in there? Looks good. What are you going to do first? Blow it apart or fix something and drive it along the way?

I hate it being dark when I'm trying to work on something, I guess that's one of my pet peeves.
I'm going to try to refrain from tearing it down completely as it's just going to be a driver, not a show car. Hopefully, I can keep my OCD in check. I know I'm going to at least do a full floor pan, trunk pan, mini-tub and tail panel. I'm crossing my fingers under/around the front & glass are solid. Both quarters have half skins.
My train of thought is to: *Yank the interior. *Cut out the floor boards and inspect the rockers. *Replace the floor boards and work my way rearwards....

Sounds like a plan. My Chevelle needed full floors and trunk so it got cut from the toe boards to the tail lights. It had been hit on pass side quarter when we cut it off the bent one was still there with a poorly done skin on top of it.
Good luck on the project. I'll be following along.

Well, she's at home for the next year or so... Time to get started Seats out... Hmmm... 2 layers of carpet, that's new to me. Down to the bottom layer of carpet, they used sheet metal screws to hold down the second layer. That's a new one also... That layer of dirt is rust... How much rust, well lets say handfuls.... Patch job? That's above the spring perch, I'd hate to know I was launching very hard at the track... Another patch job on the door jam. It had a good bit of rust popping out of it. I'm guessing something similar on this side also. The bottom ridge of the outer rocker is suppose to pinch together with the inner rocker panel. I'm guessing they lapped the replacement skin over the old skin. And off to the trunk... Lovely. Passenger side, somebody had pop riveted sheet metal over the floor board and left the rusted metal below it... Exhaust with da cherry bombs.... scrap

Nothing has really changed on the plans. As I thought, it still needs full floor/truck pans/ and tail panel. Its going to also need new outer rocker panels and the toe boards are going to need to be patched. Not sure about the inner rockers. I'm still not sure if I want to replace the quarter panel with full quarters... To fix the door jam and to access the backside of the rockers, I may need to cut out the quarters. If I cut on the quarters at all, I'm going to go with full quarters. These have already been skinned twice. I'm going to sleep on that one several nights... On a bright note, I checked under the cowl which is under the windshield and it appears pretty solid. The outer cowls (tulep panels) appear solid also. I'm debating if I want to pull the front and rear glass to make sure the windshield channels are solid also.
