Well I temporarily mounted the CB and put the antenna mount on.. of course now the top of it hits the garage door so I'll have to find a quick disconnect... But it's on enough for the ride this wknd.. Hoping the other mount comes in next week.
Tried to make it as clean as possible...

I've got the same mount. Have you tested the SWR's? I had to run a ground wire from the bracket to a ground in the cab to get mine down.

So I'm thinking about grinding off the powdercoat to get a better ground.. I should have done that before I mounted it but forgot.. And yes it feels friggin awesome working on my own Jeep again... takes a little more finesse with this one tho.. The last one I could cut, drill, paint etc. and not worry about it..

The plastic washer goes under the bracket. I had mine wrong too. Did that switch and SWR went from around 3 to 1.6 without any other changes.

I've always had the washer over the bracket.. The middle part of the connector has to be isolated from ground.. that's why the plastic washer is there.. From Stu Offroad..

Sometimes real world experience is the way to go rather than a salesman's directions that has never installed one, If what Weezie did fixed his why would you not try it
