Picking them up in the morning. Probably gonna trade them off for a smaller set. Its a smoking deal but a little bigger and heavier than I really need with my heavy right foot. You want them? Lol

Won't fit anything I have. Just thought that was a great deal as well.

I'm sure y'all know I finally broke down and bought a RZR after eyeballing them for a year or so now. Since I'm new to the whole scene I was hoping y'all with experience with them could teach me a few things! I'm wanting to bring it to the runs and ride the rocks with y'all but I plan on being a regular in the local mud holes also so I'm wanting a dual purpose rig. I don't plan on doing 4's and 5's with it...but we will see...lol. my friends that play in the mud all run 3-5" lifts and 29.5 to 34" tires...doesn't sound very stable in the rocks. How much lift and what size tires are the rock buggies using? I know since mine is a 4 seater ground clearance will be very important...I've already high centered every time I've had it out! Lol. Skids and rock spiders are high on my list because of the added length also. I'm hoping Magnus will stick his head in here and beat me with some wisdom or tell me where to look...I've been cruising rzrforum.com...what are some other places to kill time? Kind of blew that out of the water last weekend!

So magnus, I'm trying to decide between a 28" tire or a 30" tire. I LOVE the ground clearance the 30's gave me but the 28" would be lighter and easier on parts. What are your thoughts on this?
Also, skids and sliders. I was looking at the factoryutv skids...they are one piece and cover front to back and out the sides all the way to the rockers. I see the rzr's clyde build though only cover the center frame section and they don't run sliders. I don't understand with the monster cage and bumpers they build, why don't they do sliders too?

As far as tires I like the 30". I think damage is all in how you drive. Clyde, CJ, Tripp and those guy's go through more axles and diff's than I do and they are running 28" tires. Take a look at these video's and you will see the difference. I know my suspension helps but look at how much gas Worm has to use to get his front end on top of the rocks where I can usually crawl. (vids on page 2 of this forum). b2b-offroad.freeforums.net/thread/1023/2013-rits-pics-vid?page=2Here is what I'm running. I'm not sure why Clyde does not run sliders except that they build the cages for personal protection and are not that worried about the vehicle. I love my skids and they have kept me from getting hung up more than once. These guy's are in MS and I called them directly to see if they would put a package together of skids and sliders. I think I saved about $80 that way. That has been 3 years ago but might be worth a shot. They seemed to be great people. www.trailarmor.com/Polaris_RZR_and_RZRS_Center_Skids_p/ta012skidcenter-rzr-s.htmwww.trailarmor.com/Polaris_RZR_RZRS_Skid_Slider_Nerfs_p/ta012skidnrf-rzr-s.htm

We don't have sliders because we don't typically rock crawl... we're normally high speed on hill climbs and don't bottom out on rocks.
He actually just made a set of sliders for a 4 seater RZR this past week.
I've got an arctic cat wildcat x and I run 30" tires and have yet to break an axle shaft because of it, but I don't rock crawl with it either. The rocks are hard on parts. Those machines are the most fun when they're going fast, IMHO. Rock crawling a SXS typically just tears stuff up.

Good information chris and I enjoyed the videos!
Reuben, I talked to clyde the other day about skids and sliders and he was saying he could build me sliders no problem. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of them would you?

No, I didn't take a picture... but I'm sure Clyde has some. Give him a call or send him a text and I'm sure he'll send you some.
