Does anyone know if the N2O (2.0) rough contry shocks are any good? I run the 4" short arm kit, w/ a Ford 9" rear end and i haven't had any problems out of the lift.

The kit is inexpensive. I'm just not sure that it will work with my future plans.

if you are dropping a 350 and chevy trans into a TJ, you might want to be concerned with spring rates, more than lift height on a web page. When that much weight gets dropped in the front of that Jeep those 4" springs are most likely gonna end up being 2-2.5's. Just some food for thought.

Best thing if you want to truly do this, is be prepared to go slow. You will encounter lots of things you cannot plan on. If you try and go fast you will get frustrated and probably end up selling it.
I would start researching on the net anyone that you can find that has done it. Try and find build threads and read until your eyes bleed. As you go bookmark pages and begin a parts list on excel. Start listing what you need and what it's gonna cost. Start saving your money now cause it won't be cheap.
I would begin by stripping the drive train and then mock up the new while it sits on stands with no axles or suspension under it. Once you get all the motor, trams, and tcase installed then start on the suspension and axles. Most likely based on the length of everything there is gonna be a wheelbase stretch involved. Since all the drivetrain is in at this points king the suspension will be much easier.
Good luck!

I know this type of project is above my skill level. My plan is to get all the parts i need, then find someone that can do the fab work. It will be a long term project as i save money and collect parts. In the meen time i will be enjoying my stock jeep.

Well I decided to put my axles in my YJ instead of my TJ. The YJ already has the 350 v8. And the lift kit.
