I've been trying to tell him the same thing but he won;t listen.. look you fucker, it's not that I won't listen. It's that I don't have the funds to buy all the stuff to do the 4 link with. Which is why I am searching for free parts right now. Like those coil buckets.....

Someone is bound to have some spare coils around that they would give up. After that find some scrap square tube/link equivalent material to make your links out of. The most expensive thing and probably all you'd have to pay for is the weld-in bungs and the heims/JJ's depending on what you use. Of course those aren't cheap for good quality joints...

Lol. Look at Charlie getting all cocky now. This is good Bob. Let me know what kind of metal you need for the flat stuff. I have more like I have Charlie for his trailer! Lol.....

This is where I need input. I'm not sure what to use for the mounts, I'm guessing 3/8" plate? I started a thread about 4 Linking this thing, you can find it here............ b2b-offroad.freeforums.net/thread/592/4-linking-ghost-wanna-give

Your link didn't work but 3/8's to 1/2 for your mounts will be fine. Gussets are also important. Greg would be a great guy to talk to as he just finished linking his TJ.

You can also buy link kits for the 8.8... You'll also need a truss to run the triangulated 4 link..

You can also buy link kits for the 8.8... Very true, comes down to the whole bought vs built thing again and which one in the long run will be the best/cheapest route. You'll also need a truss to run the triangulated 4 link.. This can also be built on the cheap using excess scrap metal. Just make sure your design is good and your welds are better.

You don't necessarily need a truss to build a single triangulated 4 link. You can triangulate the lowers at the frame end instead.

Finally got the forged 8.8 replacement yoke installed, and I fabbed up an actual anti-wrap bar. I'll get to test it all out this weekend at Hawk Pride.

:peep:It ready yet? 2 mo days... I just have to get one bolt for that shackle. The 9/16" mount bolt is a little loose causing the shackle to clank around a little. I'm gonna drill it out to 5/8" and put one of them in tomorrow. No biggie, I just don't want that slack in the shackle.
