I've always wanted to do a south Texas trip. Go to Dallas / Ft. Worth and go toward the coast, Houston, San Antonio, Galveston. I went to San Antonio a few years ago on business and liked the city and always wanted to go back. Take in some of the old west so to speak. Lived in Dallas for 3 years... Her dad lives on the beach in Corpus and we go there every year for the last 4 years.. Always wanted to see San Antonio but if were' going that close to her dads we might as well go stay with him again... I was thinking Florida maybe.. but she doesn;t wanna go there.. CO. sounds friggin awesome.. just a long drive to get there.. ugh!

I'll reply before I read the rest of the posts in here.... I'd head to Charleston, SC. I'd find a lil place to stay in Mt Pleasant, SC. There, you are 10 min ease of the beach, and 15 min west of Charleston. That is an awesome city, with some cool places to visit! I have kin folk in Mt Pleasant, and we try to spend every other Thanksgiving with them. I love it there!!! As a matter of fact, if I were to up and relocate, that's prolly where I'd end up. There, or Riverside, Cali.

I like the Colorado idea, 2 days out, 2 days back. You'll be able to see a lot in 5 days. You will wish you had brought your jeep though.

Y'all could ditch the company car idea, and hop a trail to New Orleans!!!! PLENTY to do there for 9 days! Been to NO a few times already.. Not thrilled with it.. I think the CO. trip is gonna be the winner.. I LOVE the mountains and middle of summer should be good for camping.. Maybe drive to Steamboat Springs... then on the way back just run through the mountains and sight see some.. Maybe run through New Mexico and see some old Indian sites.. She loves that movie Natural Born Killers so I may drive her over to the Gorge Bridge where they stopped to get married.. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Looks like it's gonna be a long drive... Hope it's worth it! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I've never been to the Big Easy. just heard facinating stories! ![](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/BpaIyaAZycYl9y_eF_Sw.gif) And hellz yea, a drive through the mountains will be well worth it, especially REAL mountains! I just can't help but wonder how many times you'll say or think "damn, I wish I had the Ghoulie in tow," or "I bet I could climb that!!!" ![:punk:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/3KZmHO3UZDby07SoKuid.gif)

You could always head up to NY and drive down the east coast. There are plenty of places to see along the way. If ya get bored you can easily hit the beach. That 500 will go quick on places to stay.

Go to the Black Hills. See Mt. Rushmore, go to Sturgis, camp or what ever.

A drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway, ending up at Niagara Falls would be cool, Angie and I rode the bike up that way a few years ago and it was very nice.
