Bought some speakers and amp and I'm wanting to use factory radio but it has no RCA hook ups. Does anyone know if there is a direct plug in that I can get to plug in back of factory radio for RCA's and a remote wire to splice into. Mine is a 2012 with the infinity system in it!
Thanks

There is an adapter you can get that will turn the speaker wires coming out of the head unit into.RCA jacks but to be honest the sound will be Soooooo much better if you go.with an aftermarket radio.

Its not a direct plug though unless things have gotten fancy since last time I messed with radios...you will have to cut wires. Justin (rotten belly) could answer all your questions for sure!

Yea I would like to keep the factory radio with all the functions and all. There is an extra plug on back of the radio for something.

It's fairly simple process. You need a high level to low level converter. I would wire it into the rear speaker wires. That gets you your RCA connections for your amp. Then a amp turn on wire. If you have a cigarette lighter plug that comes on with jeep you could use that. Then power and ground.
Extra plug is probably for satilitte radio if not equipped.

I'm guessing the rear speaker wires to the sub will be ok?

Depending how many watts the sub is getting could affect the converter.

I've heard its not so simple to install an amp in one with the infinity system. On mine, we tapped in and bypassed all the wiring for the factory amp. Wasn't the easiest install I've ever done. Luckily I had someone with who knew more then me.

Just found this out on other site.. Q: What if I just want to upgrade my speakers only? A: Do you have the Infinity-upgraded stock system?
- Yes - You'll need to add a line-level converter in order to get a signal that can be amplified and sent to your new speakers. This requires splicing if you want to retain your OEM radio. The splice must be made AFTER the Infinity amplifier.

That amp has line level inputs it looks like on the box. With input voltage adjustments. I prefer to use the converters but you shouldn't have to with that amp unless you want to. My lights dim with a 500watt amp and a optima battery. That joker is gonna be hard on a stock battery!!!
I just grabbed a bunch of new speakers, amp and sub for mine. gonna redo mine again when I get home.
