I'm running approx 1000w amp. My stock battery hates it. And that's without it turned up. Almost embarrassing at night, but it sounds good.

The optimas seem to recover alittle faster than regular batteries. I will be home April 2nd. If you haven't got it installed I would be glad to help out.

Sears has a battery equal to the oddessy... MUCH better option than the Optima IMO..
4000 watts? what's the RMS wattage of that thing? that seems a little extreme. regardless, you may want to look into adding a second battery.

It's been a long time since I've messed with amps/speakers so all this is like new to me again! I know it's 1ohm And I bought it all at a bargain. That amp another smaller amp like 230/340 watts I can't remember! And all the wiring and 2 Rockford 10's with box at a GREAT price, dude was needing some money! Haha

Does Rick sell them...I guess I meant to ask what all are lock picks good for?
I saw rottenbelly's spotter cam, and I'm not sure whether I could handle a screen on my dash. I saw somewhere that you could possibly install a camera to view through the in-dash screen. Anyone know if this is accurate??

If your 10" subs are 4ohms there won;t be a way to run it to 1 ohm effectively unless they are dual coils.. Either way running them at 1 ohm is gonna strain your amp. It may say stable at 1 ohm, but it's gonna struggle with your stock electrical system.. My suggestion.. find out of the subs are 2 or 4 ohm.. if they are 4 ohm them run them together parallel to make them 2 ohms. That will make plenty of boom boom and not drag your system down as much.. plus it will lengthen the life of your amp and subs.. OH.. and I wouldn't run it with anything less than a 4 gauge wire on hot AND ground..

A 4000 watt amp may want bigger. Just like that Kicker.. It wants more juice and ground than Charlie is giving it.....

That amp has line level inputs it looks like on the box. With input voltage adjustments. I prefer to use the converters but you shouldn't have to with that amp unless you want to. My lights dim with a 500watt amp and a optima battery. That joker is gonna be hard on a stock battery!!! I just grabbed a bunch of new speakers, amp and sub for mine. gonna redo mine again when I get home. You're gonna need a capacitor...

Never really fixes the problem. Me personally, I would rather spend the money on a XS power battery. Upgrade the big 3, better battery and if possible a alternator is the only way I would go. This will power a system nicely with 3900 amps. www.sonicelectronix.com/item_38728_XS-Power-D6500.html
