Yeah if I don't get some type of update soon I'm going to look into lemon laws.I haven't received a single update since I spotted the truck off around the 8th or something. Chrysler has called a couple times but literally said they had no new information and they ate waiting on an email from the service manager at landers because that's how he prefers to communicate

Just a small update, landers called me I think the day after I last posted in here and basically told me absolutely nothing. Ram has called me multiple times and told me absolutely nothing. I've researched the lemon laws and it appears mississippi only requires you to give the dealership the opportunity to fix it it (it says 3 times) and my truck is at the dealership for the 4th time. And it says it has to be with then for 15 consecutive days and I dropped it off almost a month ago so I have a claim. I haven't filed anything yet because I'm hopeful they get it fixed bUT I'm losing all faith in this truck as a whole. I guess we will see.

Call and remind them of the law ( in sure they know already). Maybe it'll light a fire under their asses.

I'd file a claim for sure. You've given them the time and the chances.

I keep saying I'm going to but I keep holding out hope it will get fixed. Just that thought that "tomorrow is the day" I guess but then tomorrow comes and nothing. I did look up some lawyers that handle this type of thing but I work the next two days on the ambulance so I guess if I haven't heard anything by Friday I'll go talk to landers. I have a few ideas in my head that I would like to try before I very any lawyers involved. I would much rather this be handled civilly. Hopefully a compromise can be reached.

Just got off the phone with landers and got my first real progress update (up until now I've only got phone calls saying "we don't know what's wrong but we're working in it"). Best I can understand they have tested all the electrical systems then did a compression check on the engine and it came back normal so they checked the vacuum system and replaced the vacuum pump. While test driving the truck shut off (a problem I've never had) and found something went wrong and the high pressure system failed. They are now replacing the entire high pressure system including the injectors. They hope to be test driving it again by next week. I'm curious what would cause the high pressure system to fail like that and if something was missed because they said they checked the fuel system. The good news is in my research so far I haven't found similar issues so hopefully this was an isolated incident and with the entire system being replaced it won't be an ongoing issue. I did express to ram customer service I want to discuss them buying the truck back but now with a real update I'll have to see where I stand this time next week. I guess time will tell

I think I'd continue that " buy back " conversation. There are plenty more trucks out there without "unknown" issues !

I'm going to review my options. I have been sitting on go for the buy back but at the same time I bought the extended warranty so I'm covered reguardless of what happens. On the other hand nearly everything under the hood short of the block itself will be new with paperwork. And a third angle to this is the ecodiesel are currently under investigation by the government for cheating emissions similar to Volkswagen and the results of that suit ended in a buyback so the results to this one will likely be similar. I guess I'm going to have to sit down and so a personal pro and con list.

So far VW is only buying back the small diesels. They haven't decided on the 3.0. I saw that Fiat/Chrysler got hit too

Well I haven't updated this in a while because I haven't had much to update but I believe everything is finally about to work out. They are hoping to have my truck back to me by the 15th so we will see how that goes. As far as how things have went I will say this, the service manager has been helpful overall. I understand his job is to try to play both sides of the fence and try to keep me happy while not losing his employer any money. I can say the communication needs improvement but overall he was fine. The sales manager is absolutely worthless. He did not even want to talk to me much less help me in any way and was borderline offensive. Neither I nor my family or any close friends who have been around to hear this story will every buy a vehicle from landers again. I realize that were small fish to them but in very recent years my family has purchased about 6 cars from them and while going though this my grandparents purchased a brand new jeep renegade from Collierville and we will be purchasing another one for my girlfriend soon from anyone other than landers. I know it sounds petty but it makes me feel better. I believe with just a little effort this entire situation could hand been handled better but nobody even wanted to pretend I mattered, but in the end it finally appears we have a resolution I'm happy with.

Hate to hear you went thru all that crap... I've been throught the same before.. I'll never buy anything from T-Mobile after my last episode with them and their manager.. Sometimes you have to shop around to find out who you like best.

Yeah it is pretty sad. I'm actually waiting on a call today I hope. They have been telling me it will be ready the day after they get the part they have been waiting on and I was told they got it Friday but I still haven't heard anything. I'm starting to think this part they thought was going to fix everything didn't fix anything.

It's finally back. Picked it up today and so far so good and with little time to spare. I've been pushing them to get this finished because I interviewed for a job in denver Colorado on Monday and I'm only waiting on the official offer to accept. I'm leaving March 9th. I was originally planned on leaving the 20th of this month but luckily it got pushed back a couple weeks so I can test the truck.

Picked up the truck Wednesday and drove home. Worked Thursday and Friday and I actually work 48 hour shifts so the truck didn't move. The check engine light came back on. I'm truly at a loss at this point.
