The biggest thing is setting it up and promoting the shit out of it every day!! Someone call Jacob Tranum.. He's the biggest loud mou... Er.... I mean promoter I have ever known... Lol If its for charity he'll probably help too

We would probably sell more if you didn't have to be present to win. Just looking at it as a fund raiser and not an event draw. Agreed, but the logistics of having a raffle that people don't have to be at gets too confusing and we have to find a way to get numerous items out to several different people.

Ok so fundraising is kinda my thing (sorority girl to the bone). I completely agree with the Shelby Farms idea! It's wonderful out there! We could post up at the children play area if anyone thinks that would work for the cook out and a raffle. ORRRRRR I can try and get in touch with the new Go Ape Treetop Adventure Park manager to see about working out a deal with them. We could partner up to see if they are interested in doing any philanthropy work like donating a % of what they raise that weekend to our cause and see if they would promote our event on their FB (they currently have over 2K likes) or at their park the few weeks leading up to the event.I'm not sure if this would work, but I'm not afraid to try. If this is an idea yall wanna go with I'm more than happy to make a few calls. However if they are interested I will need the tshirt design or a poster to give them! Just and idea, but let me know! Once we get the graphics and stuff I'll put it in my works newsletter. I can also work with one of our program directors to get a group of new employees to try and come out for it. PS I'm sure I'll be posting ideas as I think of them....so I might have 120000 posts headed yalls way. Get excited!

Just make them write there phone number on the back of the raffle ticket. If they win we will call them so they can come get their prize. If they're too lazy to come get it, you get their raffle ticket money and can recycle the prize for the next raffle.

The one thing we need to remember is that Shelby Farms requires a deposit and a payment for any of their picnic areas. The more we put out the less we gain for the charity. If we do a raffle before hand we should do it at Landers. The Shelby Farms ideas are great and should definitely be looked into. If Devin can work something out with them, that would only be better for the charity. I personally LOVE the idea of having a generic shirt made. We really need to consider doing this. Even if we do, as stated already, we should incorporate a small B2B logo on it. Raffle ticket sales......they really need to be a present to win situation. Completely agree with Chris about logistics and all that. I'm sure we could make more money on the raffle but I don't think the confusion is worth it. Jeff completely supports us and we need to return that as much as we can. This is a GREAT charity to support and the ideas mentioned are all awesome. I think doing an event at Landers is the way to go.

We all know it's gonna be a low attendance. Maybe all raffles should be local instead of at the run. That way people can bring more friends and family and get a better turn out? Something to consider.

Chris asked me to start this thread so here we go... Warren Holbert is one if the sweetest 6 year old boys I know. On March 6th, he was ran over by a neighbor in front of his house. He suffered a fractured pelvis, ribs, and skull. The worse injury has been the traumatic brain injury that has affected his left side. He was at LeBonheur for about 6 weeks, then transferred to Atlanta for intensive inpatient rehab. He is currently in a day rehab program for the next 4 weeks. If all goes well, he should be back home mid June, and will continue rehab here. Lynda (his mom) has not worked since the accident. Pat works when he can. They also have two older daughters (Ashton is 14, Mallory is 10) as well, who have pretty much stayed with Warren the whole time. This kiddo is Tonka tough. You guys do not know how much this means to me, let alone how much it will mean to them. You nailed it on this one MJL.

I'll get busy working on a design, but I would like others to submit theirs as well.
What about some simple die-cut wheelin for Warren stickers? Would you all be interested in spending a few bucks on a sticker for your rig/toolbox.
I'm thinking we pick 2 maybe 3 'events' and put a good bit of effort to each. James and Daniel- please get with Jeff and see what he would like to see happen at his place. If he has any input on it.
Ben-anything we can do at your work?

These things will bring in money, a few bucks for some stickers that go to a great cause. Who doesn't like stickers? Well.........not as much as me but c'mon!!

A lot of raffles are not present to win kind of raffles.. 4wps has them even.. Just make them write their info on the back and call them when they win to come pick it up.. Simple. The local gun shop here did theirs like that.. They had about 10 items to raffle off.. a bucket in front of each one.. Buy your tickets, put your info and drop in bucket in front of prize.. One winner per prize. Viola! You can even spread it out for weeks with the same prizes at different locations.. just keep the tickets in the buckets.. I would suggest big ticket items like a winch, high dollar gifts certs etc.. donated of course! Hell I'll even sell tickets here and ship them to you guys before the drawing.. they can pay shipping if they want their prize.. Just throwing out ideas..

I'm still not liking the idea. just too much room for error for me. But that's just my 2 cents.
Getting tickets to folks, making sure we get the proper info on each one, people picking up their prizes, thoughts of foul play if one person wins a couple big ticket items, etc. Just think it would be better to do as a group, in person. Plus it gives us a reason to get together and that's always a good time!
