In Charlie's defense, wasn't that leaf spring still bent from a previous ride lol.. ? Not counting the time before that , that he bent it ..

It wasn't charlies fault. If I would've done the shackle reversal already they wouldn't have bent. It was The Thugs fault for having a faulty design from the factory

Man I can't believe how much smoother this thing shifts now. It's like a completely different bike. Didn't realize what I was missing not having 3rd gear.

Good job Bob. Motorcycles are suprisingly easy to work on if you have a small amount of mechanical ability. For som reason most folks are scared to tackle jobs on them. As much work as you do to a jeep you will be able to work on anything that bike needs.
As far as gear failures my money says most would occur from high rpm shifts with improper clutch engagement. Not to say there aren't some failures but I bet a high majority of them could be avoided if the clutch was properly adjusted and ridden correctly.
Can't wait to get back on the twisties with you.
