Both of them will stop anyone with proper shot placement. I love my Shield, it's a comfortable, easy shooting, very concealable pistol.

Yeah it fit better than any of them.. and I tried 5 different ones.. You should have seen Mel.. she was nearly in tears just from the instructor showing her how to hold the gun.. lol After a few shots she was more comfortable and had a nice middle pattern from about 7 yards out.. now she wants to go back on Friday when its ladies day and her rentals are free.. lol

It's an eye opening experience for someone who's never handled any kind of firearm before. Once the initial shock is over it's a completely different world. Michael shot my Shield a couple of weeks ago, first time he's fired a pistol. He put about a full magazine through it after that first shot. (he also got to shoot my M16.....)

I finally got Jennifers eyes opened to needing to learn how to use a firearm with all this crap going on around memphis and a string of thefts and break ins over in marion....she's always been deathly scared of them and refused to even touch one. I've got a couple trips planned to the range planned with her to let her try out a few and teach her the basics. We are going to have to take baby steps but it's a start!

Ive never been against them. Just never felt the need to own one.My mind has been slowly changed in the past few months though.
Supposed to go to the range soon with a friend that has a few he's going to let us try out.

I'm going to try and get Jennifer up there in the next couple days to try a few out and see what she likes...or is comfortable learning with! Lol
I called range usa and for $10 you can rent and fire as many different guns as you want. Only catch is you have to use their ammo so if you are trying out different calibers it can get a little pricey.

There is a Groupon for Range USA that is for the concealed carry class. $39. Lauren bought it yesterday and is going November 8. We plan to go to the range and let her use some guns to see what she is comfortable with.

Just got back from the range with Jennifer with her being left handed it was hard to find something she loved...After all was said and done she really liked the shield, the xd 9 sub compact, but she fell in love with the lcp 380. We are now proud new owners of a shiny black lcp with the red laser! Lol
On a side note, if anyone is looking for a nice carry weapon I've got a whole setup I'll sell pretty reasonable. A ruger SR40C with Theis horsehide IWB hooster, 100 fmj, 150 jhp, and around 20 hydra-shok defense rounds.

May have her try out the LCP and she what she thinks
