If he wants to ride it at mud nationals, at least get some DOM and weld the gullwings to the center hoop over the dash and behind the rear seats. It needs some kind of structure to it to help keep the chassis from twisting. Then when he gets back scrap the cage and take it to Clyde for a real cage.

He should have used these from Ballistic and the front and rear of each gullwing to continue it down into the chassis but still allow the wings to go up.

Well, figured I would update this and let everyone know the final outcome. When Jimmy got it back home they went over it before leaving out for mud nats. The buggy was not driveable and he missed the ride. There were SO many things not finished on top of the cage. Here is a pic of the cage when it was pulled off, you see the front how it came down? That's how it was braced in the front. I believe it was a piece of tube that went side to side and the cage bolted to it. NO structural integrity...when they were pushing it off the trailer (because it wouldn't run) the frame had so much flex the doors were rubbing the front plastics. Also, look at the rear plastics. They were melted on the corners where the cage was welded on without any protection.

Jimmy ended up getting with Clyde up at Spyder Offroad and took it back up there to have it fixed. He was going to just order a cage but thought it best to have someone build a cage on it so they could see if anything else needed fixing.

Clyde got his hands on it and started up the "RiverRat" build.

There is a video with a walkaround that shows the interior...I'm going to try and figure out how to get it saved and posted on here. The carbon fiber work inside REALLY sets this off!

Looks much better and looks a LOT safer now. It appears that the spyder guy really knows his "stuff" when it comes to bending tube.

Hates to hear that he missed Mud Nats. That's the pinnacle ATV ride in the south.
