Now he is telling Jimmy the $3,500 he has already paid him never included the bumpers...and that if he brings it back later he will charge him for the bumpers...AND he is trying to charge Jimmy more money to have the plastic roof and door skins he put on painted. He also put big heavy gull wing doors on it and got it powder coated without welding brackets on it for the pistons that will hold the doors open so now Jimmy will have to hold the cage/door open while he gets in and out and hope it doesn't fall on his head. So Genesis charged $3,500 for a basic cage that is half ass and half finished and 3 10" lightbars. Everything else put on it Jimmy paid for and had shipped there. What a freaking snake! The way it is, you can't get in and out of the rzr so Jimmy is taking the cage off and throwing it away when he gets home. Gonna try a different builder. I think he needs to see a lawyer myself.

man talk about fucked up. im gald it never worked out when i was trying to get him to do my exo/tube bed. after about the 5th email, i quit trying to talk to him..

He's so pissed he just wants it gone. To fix it he would have to have it welded on and re powdercoated...I'm sure he will try to sell it but honestly its crappy.

Does he have anything in writing from Genesis explaining exactly what was to be done for his $3,500? If not, I'm not sure a lawyer could do much. |

Nothing in writing, all verbal and we all told him not to pay in full but he had the money and didn't want to hold onto it.

I am not surprised to hear any of this... hope your friend gets it figured out.
EDIT - I originally suggested the lawyer up route, but I think in the end it will just cost him a bunch of money to get it resolved. More than he would probably spend just to have the cage rebuilt.
His best bet may be to cut his losses and have someone build him another cage or modify that one.

Shane has agreed to get pistons put on the doors and finish installing the led's underneath. Jimmy says he is going Saturday to pick it up and is hoping it's finished enough to take to mud nats.
I tried to get him to take it to clyde in the first place...He even talked prices with him 8 or 9 months ago before it was taken to genesis. I mentioned genesis to him once and he called and talked to Shane...He promised him the moon and stars and Jimmy was hooked. It's been a ridiculous downhill slide ever since.

Jimmy talked to Shane a little while ago and Shane was pretty hot. Said he is tired of everyone talking about this buggy. Sounds like it got pretty heated and Jimmy is going tomorrow to pi k it up. No wiring is finished and not sure what else...His plans to mud nats are canceled.
Clyde has offered to finish the cage for him but jimmy says unless Shane gives him some money back he just can't afford it right now. Between what he has paid genesis and the parts he has ordered to have shipped there to have installed I think he up to close to a little over $6,000 spent on it in the last 8 months.
I told him to drop it at my house and I could at least finish the wiring and get it running for him while I'm home next time...he's so passed he's just not sure what he is going to do right now.

I can offer up some welding if he needs it.. and wiring help.. but my schedule is pretty full here lately..
I actually like the design of the gull wing doors if it was safe enough.. would love to help finish it
