That appears to be the external slave, I'm not sure what years the internal was used in but I have been told the tranny has to come out to change the internal one.

The trans jack is borrowed from a friends dad's business tht just closed. I would love to have it for the shop. I asked how much he wanted for it and he paid $1200 for it 3 months ago. Too rich for me right now but he said I can keep it that way he doesn't have to store it. Remember. Possession is 9/10 of the law. LOL.
Pulling that trans whipped my ass last night. Now having done it once the next one will be easier.
The top two bolts on this thing are E12 bolts. They look like a reverse torx head, luckily a 6 point socket got them out. Getting the correct socket later today.

There's always a learning curve the first time.

Rear main off. It had the rear seal oil leak so we decided to fix it while were this deep into it. Everything came out good so far. I was worried about the top part of the seal coming out and I forgot to look at which was the lip was facing. DUH Now it's clean up and start reassembly. Now the owner decided he wants a lift installed also, I am going to be able to retire off this job. Our growing take off parts pile. Greg G

Being sick really blows. I need to get this Jeep off the lift and out of my shop. I am so hoping to be feel like getting back into it later on this week.
Quick question, with a 4 in lift will I need a new rear driveshaft? It doesnt look like there is enough in the stock one to compensate for the added height.

I'm at 4.5 inches with stock upper control arms and fixed lower control arms and haven't lost the stock drive shaft yet. Yes there is a vibration when you accelerate, but it isn't horrible unless you floor it. The only issue that makes me want to do something about it sooner rather than later is the fact that it does like u joints. I haven't had one fall out, but they wear out pretty quickly.

I have a 4" lift and stock driveshafts and have had no problems except changing the u-joints a couple times in the last 7 years but mine is not rock crawling either
