Damn! Hate see that but I'm glad you guys are ok!! Thanks! We are both really sore (I can feel every place the seat belt touched). Zach hit his head on the roll bar pretty good, but we are going to be okay.

Glad y'all are ok !!!
That Jeep definitely don't look totaled. Looks like to me it's just ready for a suspension upgrade or axles and control arms can be found at Pull-A-Part cheap and replaced easily.

Aside from the hard top and the left rear corner i don't think the body took any other hits. Tub is buckled under the driver side door. I think we landed on that rear corner. It would have been much worse if I'd gotten around to building rocker guards and had pulled off the nerf bars. He hit me on the driver side front wheel and that nerf bar. Without the bar he'd have been into my seat area.

Yeah, I'm anxious to see what his insurance is going to want to do. Just take the check and keep the Jeep, you can do that even if they total it. they will want a little more than scrap valur for it but they can take it out of your check. Find out what they will charge you to keep it and if you don't want it someone here might be interested !!!

The 4.0l motor and AX15 trans alone might make it worth buying back if they total it.

man, that really sucks. Glad to hear you're both ok though. I'm sure we can figure some way to get it back on the road if you want to keep it!!

So, it looks like I might be picking up the old YJ today. While I would like to keep it and build it into a dedicated trail rig I'm not really in a position to do so right now (it would sit in storage for too long before i might have the funds). So it is decision time....
I do think that i can get it to move under its own power pretty easy. The driver side of the rearend had slid forward on the leaf spring. I think if i can pull the rearend back into place it just might work. The driveshaft survived and was still attached to the rear end last time i saw it (upgrade from stock straps to Ford ubolts was a great decision).
Won't steer as the rod from the box to wheels the was broken but the tie rod between the wheels survived so at least the front wheels are connected to each other.
