well, exciting times. Fired it up with the new to me motor tonight! Fired right up, good oil pressure, ran smooth. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) My son took a video with his phone that I haven't been able to use on PC yet. If I can get it to work I'll post it up. ![:wallbash:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/gPYGPXaaTPlLPne380fg.gif)

Still need to drop tank and make sure it isn't too nasty (ran fuel from jerry can tonight) since it has been down a bit.
That and button a bunch of things up, but hey, I can see it on the road now.

I'm in my kitchen doing the pickle dance.... ![:pickles:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/asdysyKc8zdsB9caA8dt.gif) I was pretty happy myself. Now I get to freeze my butt off on the garage tomorrow trying to finish it up.

Well, we are up and driving now!!! ![](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/s4hNvfPehrvF_s7s7oY6.gif) Productive day, finished buttoning up the wiring, got the exhaust all hooked and clutch bled and now we're off. While I will need to do more tuning as I drive it a bit and get feel for how it's running I pretty excited that it is moving under its own power. Drove it around the neighborhood for quite a while tonight. ![:pickles:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/asdysyKc8zdsB9caA8dt.gif)

OK, well, a bit of a crazy night last night. Drove kids around neighborhood for a while warming it up to work on tuning it a bit better. All was well until when we got home. Parked it halfway in the garage to do the tuning and was just getting started when the top tank of my new (well, I've had it for over a year, but it just came out of the box last month) blew wide open. Luckily for me I had just walked back to look at tach when it happened. It blew the insulation off of the underside of the hood, blew the hood prop out and sprayed garage with coolant/water. Scared us all pretty good and filled garage full of steam so that it looked like the pics you see of San Francisco. ![:jawdrop:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/j6su_J6xmWS5JPBRRZ23.gif) I do have the old radiator which is still serviceable, so I swapped that in last night instead of playing with the tuning (since I'd promised to take the youngest to school in it today). Not a huge deal, just thankful no one was hurt. Now I get to try to get Napa to do something with the blown, new radiator, this could be fun.... ![:wallbash:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/gPYGPXaaTPlLPne380fg.gif)

Youngest was up at 3am sick this morning so he stayed home and didn't ride to school in the Jeep, but since I had it ready I went ahead and drove it to work today. Here is a crappy phone pic of it parked at work: ![](http://s28.postimg.org/c4iuh6ia1/Jeep_Work.jpg)

Sounds like it is falling apart.

Rattles and noises just mean your riding in a Jeep! Glad you and your family wasn't hurt when the radiator let go. Long time ago I was trying to help jump start a car for a guy at a gas station and his top hose blew off just as I connected the cables. I thought it was his battery but luckily it wasn't. Still got second degree burns on my left arm and spent part of an afternoon in the ER. Sorry for the story, just something to think about. Never know when something can happen.

Well, realize I haven't updated this thread in a while. Had a crappy morning today that included someone turning left into me while I was taking Zach to school this morning. Ended up flipping it once into a yard on Elmore. Body damage wasn't as bad I thought it would be after a flip. Destroyed hardtop and underside damage is what may total it. Steering linkage was broken, driver side rear wheel was slammed forward almost to the nerf bar, rear driveshaft was hanging loose from the transfer case (u-bolt upgrade at rear yolk seemed to have held). Not sure it going to be able to be resurrected this time.... ![](http://s30.postimg.org/vdvgoq0nh/20140821_071756.jpg)

![](http://s27.postimg.org/6uhw3suxr/20140821_071934.jpg) Yes, that is part of the other stuck in the bead of the front tire. ![](http://s11.postimg.org/ck4smytrz/20140821_071925.jpg) I think it landed on this corner on the flip...
