got the pass side in but not burned in. heres one shot of the holes and how i did it. im sure its not what they were thinking but its what went down lol. again, they are 3 rows, four hole each, offset to the others. i didnt put one under the coil bucket but since the end is getting welded all the way around. it should be fine IMO hammered in even pushed in to the right spot (at the outside tubes inner lip) theres about a half inch room until the inner seal. maybe a little less but theres still room for more. hence i guess teamjeep running JK sleeves and cutting them to size. i think itll be okay since it goes in the housing a good ways but still.....

Looks great!! A lot more holes than you actually need but overkill never hurts!!

A lot more holes than you actually need trust me. i realized before i even started it was and was reminded that several times throughout the process but its done and its overkill. the way i like it. i mean i got the sleeves simply for that reason!

Yeah, I think we did like 6 total (per side) on that JK... maybe only 4, I don't remember. All I remember is to many people have sucky drill bits.

pass side is now done as well. just waiting on my new locker pins/springs and its off for welding, new gears, gussets and skids! i still havent decided on gussets. i dont really like iron rocks and RDM's are 3/16" but i like the design. ill end up making my own bottom knuckle brace. i will take pics of that.
i also want to add. i did use four bits to step up the hole. five on some holes.
and as for my drill bits getting dull. i now never have to worry about that again. my pops went on a internet buying spree and remembered about it. he bought a "drill doctor 350x" and holy shit, every bit was like new again! id use a bit till it wasnt up to par, zap it in the drill doctor and boom, cut like butter. id seriously suggest it to anyone.

alright, i went with Artec gussets because its basicly what i wanted. they are made for a TJ but will work on MJ, XJs etc etc. of course youll have to grind a little but theyll fit. ive only grinded a little on the one you see fitted on the top. so its not sitting completely flush like it should. when i get my tools back from work, ill fit them in right. the bottom ones are perfect.

i had to grind a shitload off the gussets but they fit snug as hell now. the axle is ready to go in for welding and gears! id also like to add that if you've got a spartan locker or the like, change your springs! mine has been in for about two years and my old springs were so compressed, i cant believe the locker still worked properly. its only 30 bucks for the spring/pin kit, so if your in there, id say do it.

it's always nice to have a rebuild kit ready... I have an Aussie rebuild kit ready since I have 2 Aussie's.
