Mine stays at 210. What's the issue? Unless you are using really crappy fluids, it shouldn't be an issue. The stock thermostat doesn't even open until 195. That is only 15 degrees above when it opens.

I read somewhere that the fan has nothing to do with the cooling process over 50 or so and if it runs around 212 then your engine is failing to produce engine water and will self combust

While your checking under the hood, check the starter fluid on the starter, there's a little glass bubble next to the cylinoid. That and your blinker fluid can cause it to overheat.

The water pump is what produces this clear water so it might be that going out

Fwiw... Sometimes the brake fluid can backup into the radiator... Can check that too

When u checked the fan does it have coolant in it.. That's how it cools the engine

Have you checked to rotation of the fan to make sure it wasn't sucking the heat straight off the motor and blowing the heat to the radiator? That can make it run hot too!!

And I was referring to the coolant IN your fan... And maybe you should add coolant to your gas.. Cool it internally.. Could drop it that 2 degrees that's worrying you

Jon... 212 on a day like today is normal... When it starts getting up to 220 230 then you need to worry.. I've had mine up to 235 on the trail before the fan swap and that was years ago.. Stop chasing problems when there isn't one..

I agree 212 is absolutely nothing to worry about and normal for the high temps outside
