I think I would so you don't cut them putting them together.

I would wait till your ready for assembly. With this temperature I would let them be warm and pliable. I like to get a coffee cup with water in the microwave for 3-4 min. then drop the seals in to make them soft. (Don't nuke the seals themselves) Then when your ready to put them together lightly coat them with hyd. oil. If I can help you've got my number.

Shocks are back together with all new o rings. If they leak again they go straight in the garbage!

That's one reason they don't make them anymore. well, that didn't take long... Jeep was sitting on the bumpstop on the drivers side this morning. Only this time it was a nitrogen leak instead of oil. The o-ring in the the cap must have not been sitting right because it has a half inch section pinched/cut out of it. I didn't order and of these when I got the rest because they were in great shape and see no movement once the shock is assembled. Lesson learned and more rings ordered

Well I found a crack in the upper passenger control arm mount in the front axle. I'll weld it up tomorrow and hope for the best. If it cracks somewhere else, I guess it is time for the Johnny Joint upgrade.
