If you use drill bits they have to be the exact same size.. We did someones like that and it didn't work right.. and ours was just a tad smaller on one pin! Did you have a spool in the front on new years? just doing some thinking.. Mini Spool in the full size... but I had a SPartan in the rear 44 stock Jeep diff..

Ok, to finish up this thread, I broke the welds. Rock Donkey was there in his work rig, so we were able to weld it back together. The first time I welded it with a 220 mig. The 2nd time, we did it with a gas powered stick welder. Thought maybe it was just my welds. After a while it broke loose again on one side. I was able to wheel for a while longer, but ended up breaking loose on the other side leaving me with 2 wheel drive. I can't thank you enough TJ for the use of the welder. Big thanks to Jamison for having his trailer set up for us to work on our rigs, that made it alot easier. After talking with TJ, it was determined that we would probably have to use nickle rods to get it to hold. I'm just going to put a mini spool in it and be done since it's a trail only rig. All in all, I got to drive it a good full day, and part of a night run, then was able to pull it back up on the trailer under it's own power, so I guess not to bad of a trip. And we brought MJL's also, so still got to have a lot of fun the next day watching her push her's harder than she has before on some "moderate hard" trails.

Wow... can't believe the welds would break loose like that... I'll be curious what a mini spool will do once it's in.. Apparently your shafts are made out of titanium!!

The locker is prolly hardened. That's why the welds won't stick. A nickle rod will work better.
But, like you said, a spool will solve the problem.
