Is it possible to upvrade the stator on a 4 wheeler? I have a winch, flood lights, neon dancing lights, and a stereo system and I am not thinking the stock charging system is going to hold up to much more. I have started looking into a dual battery setup but if I could upgrade the charging system that would be awesome! Can it be rewound like an alternator or is an upgrade sold?

I don't know either but if any one would know it would be him Exactly And call Clayton. I've never dealt with fancy atv's like that. Mine are for access to hunting and farm work lol. they kinda frown upon ATV's at the mall, so I like the B2 do the mall crawlin'

I have a custo radio on mine and a 4000lb winch. I just leave mine plugged into a battery tender over night the night before I go ridin just to make sure its good and charged for the ride. My stereo is a custom built diamond plate box/storage box with 4 4x6s and a 600w amp. I had a buddy that did the dual battery kit and it didnt work for him. The factory stator wouldnt keep them charged.

It's almost like the second battery would have to be charged externally... But you'd have to wire it to where the power from battery 2 would only flow one way and it wouldn't try to charge.

This is where a deep cycle battery would be handy. Use it for the stereo and such and leave the factory system alone. Just charge the deep cycle battery the night before and your good to go. Mounting it will be the hard thing, unless you mount it on the front rack between your tubes. Just a thought.
