yes.. you want the parallel... if you want 12 volts. That's exactly how my dual battery is wired.. however, I do recommend hooking one of them as a "secondary" and have a battery cut-off to it.. that way if you're using your rig to run something when not cranked, you can always have that second battery for cranking (just turn it back on if you need it). If you kill your first battery, you still have the second. but coming from you, I bet this is for your atv.

I saw someone mention an isolater dor one battery. Is that what Ben is talking about with the switch idea or something else?

You can get an isolater for one of the batteries or even better a perko switch that let's you choose which battery to use, or both, or all off

I'm just talking about a cutoff switch. Harbor Freight has them cheap. Isolaters are a good option. Good thing to have.

I buy a lot of shit from HF but a battery cut off switch wouldn't be one of them. Sounds like a good start to a house fire.

I've never personally had one but I've talked to people that use them.

Chris why not mount a deep cycle battery on the front rack between your tubes? A trolling motor can run on one most of a day fishing on a full charge. Unless your amp and such is pulling alot of power it should work. It will put a little extra weight on the front but it might keep from overloading your electrical system in the bike trying to hook up and charge two batteries. Just a thought.

The reason for doing the split tubes like I did was to not block the upper headlight. I plan on running it like it is to see what happens but worst case scenario your idea would work...

Mount an ammo can on the back rack... with an extra atv battery or 2... they make deep cell atv batteries right?

I've never seen an deep cycle ATV battery. But I have seen a deep cycle the size of an lawn mower battery. Don't know the amps of them tho.

Might want to see if you can get a bigger stator. If your using enough juice for 2 batteries you need to be able to charge them or you're pissing in the wind. Just a thought.
