I've never had any dealings with the V-10. Let us know how well it performs for you.

I had a V10 ford years ago. Was a decent gasser except for fuel economy/tow rating. I couldnt stay out of the pedal though. It was too much fun when you romped on it. Of course, i was real smart back then LOL. I traded it for a SVT Lightning...

It is a great engine, but a very thirsty one. If you didn't anti-seize those plugs go back and do it.

Got me a tow rig now. Don't have a trailer but at least this is a start 2000 w/151K. Truck sat unused for 6 years under a pecan tree in Lagrange. Put new spark plugs in it and a new fuel pump and a new battery along with fresh gas. Fired right up and runs like a damn sewing machine. P.O., my roommates dad, put Bosch plugs in it and it ran like ass, these modular motors don't like a non Motorcraft plug from my research. He parked it and left it. It still needs a front alignment and the A/C has a bad leak. Other than that it is good to go and go it will when you step on the loud pedal. That looks like a heck of a find! Sitting for 6 years I'm sure you got it for a song!

It had moss growing on it from sitting under the tree so long When I got my F250 it had been sitting under oak trees for so long, every flat surface and the windshield was black. Took hours to get it cleaned up but she looks good now. Truck looks real nice. Good find. Hope it serves you well. Greg G
