so what is everyone using to paint your suspensions with and how is it holding up? I am bored and lookijg for a cheap/free project so I have decided to tear my atv down next time I am home and dress it up some...thinking of going with a bright yellow to match my gear shifter...lol Anyways, I know powder coating is best but I dont want to spend that kind of money for now. How does paint hold up on the springs with them flexing? Does it crack and peal?

Like you said powder coating will hold up better than anything.. You would be surprised how cheap it is actually.. You can get 4 wheels done for like $200 at Rick's.. Since mine sees a crap load of rocks and powder coating won't even hold up to that.. I use tractor black from TSC.. Of course they have all different colors even yellow in it..

Rustoleum semi gloss black from Lowes. Lays down nice, covers great, cleans up good and easy.

I used Rustoleum engine enamel on my steering and springs....so far so good! I chose engine paint because of its resistance to oil and grease and other various fluids that the Jeep might or might not leak!!!

yep yellow will look good as long as it's the darker and not the lighter.

So I've had lots of people suggest neon orange...I'm still leaning towards a yellow though.
Got a hold of ricks powder coating...only $125 to have all a arms and springs done so once I decide on a color looks like it will be powder coated. I didn't realize it was so cheap!
