I guess I have a strange but fun side hobby, I collect antique bottles. My grandfather and dad got me into this when I was little. We would got to old home sites and dig for bottles. I'm into collecting coke, and liquor bottles, but I'm moving into poison bottles.

I've got an old Pine-sol concentrate bottle and an old Nehi bottle that I dug up from a creek bed.

I could show you an old bottle grave yard of sorts but you'd have to go to Missouri to dig for them..

My wife has a large collection of barber bottles, she claims they are worth a lot. I'm not so sure.

It runs under hwy 301, just north of Starlanding. I found them in a section that runs behind the house we used to live in.

Here are a few of my bottles. The two on the right are 1870's medical bottles. The next one is a ginger beer bottle from 1870's as well. The next on is a 1880's soda bottle called a Hutchinson bottle with half the stopper still in. I dug these all these bottles in a dump from the 1800's in Vicksburg, MS. The last bottle is a 1850's frenchwine bottle that was hand blown with the top added after. I foud this bottle on a old house site in the hills of MS.

Those are cool. I think it's cool you are preserving a piece of history.
