I have never had an excess of metal that I have no use for, but is too much to let the local scrap guy get off my curb. I bought a used trailer that was skinned in 3/16" aluminum that I removed. There is roughly 60 sq ft of it. I also have some good size chunks of steel that cut off. Where do I take it? How much should I expect? ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s663/landc-2/2013-03-30_075420_zpsc39ec357.jpg)

You can take it to Iskiwitz metals off of Thomas street. They buy by the lb. Not sure what aluminum is going for.

There's a place off Seventh street, off Chelsea that pays pretty well for scrap metal, but I can't think of the name of the place. There's another place off Riverside Drive and Trigg that pays pretty well, also. Neither are in the best areas of town, so strap up!

I usually sit on mine until I have a bunch. I sold 1000# steel and 180ish # aluminum. I've sold at a bunch of the yards in Memphis over they years and their prices are all about the same unless your selling big quantities of stuff other than steel.
