Yeah not sure 9 to 6 would be enough for the price you pay.. Like Bob said, break something your out the rest of the day.. At least before you could get a good days ride in till sundown or a little after.. I understand their reasoning since they had issues with insurance before... But this will prolly be a bad sore they will have to mend somehow.

Charlie I'm serious adopt me!!!! I want to live were I'm free of such restrictions. It's communism I tell ya. There's no room in my redneck trailer! Seriously, I spent 12 years around Memphis and 6 years wanting anything but to be there. It took 2 years to get to the point where I could get someone to listen at work so I could get a transfer.. Another year to sell the house (that I took a big hit on) and I'm still trying to get out of debt from the move.. Point is.. If you want something bad enough, there's always a way. I will admit... there is nothing like the freedom you have out West.. Especially for offroaders.

When we went a few weeks ago they never locked any of the gates....either that or it's a change they're just implementing.

**Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs) are to be operated from 9 am to sunset only. We do not allow night riding except at park sanctioned events by the General Manager’s discretion only.

Sounds like to me someone is to lazy to get up with the sun and open the gates so it can be dawn to dusk. Starting at 9 am a big part of the day has already burned away . Makes paying so much for a day hard to justify with the long drive over there and only having one day to ride. Just saying.

If you guys were smart, you'd wheel in groups of 3 and down. Or better yet alone. You'll cover twice as much ground and if you wheel with people who actually know their vehicles limit and their own skill level, you won't be sitting in line waiting for some non driving ass hat to get their junk out of the way (or fixed)... That's why you never saw me in a group Time limits should be a nonissue instead of complaining (though it does suck). plus I know "everybody wants to wheel with so and so" or "be with the cool kids" but the fact is, your there to wheel, not fucking socialize! Lunch on trails shouldn't happen and ten stops to bullshit over an obsticle are ridiculous! Do it and move on...

Do it and move on... maybe you want to be a loner but for some of us we enjoy the social part of wheeling and that's why we joined the club . I mean if you really want to be a social outcast by all means more power to you ! ! You have my permission to do so.

That's why you drink and hang out AFTER the day of WHEELING (and apparently before now ha!) and not on the trails blocking obstacles for other people and struggling up a level 3 with ten people, of which 3 actually know how to use their vehicle. It has nothing to do with being an outcast at all. It has everything to do with actually using my jeep (and time) for what it was intended for, not being a social nancy on a fucking trail meant for wheeling... Damn I think this bullshit debate is getting to me but hey the truth is what it is... End rant, continue on I'm not even going or wheeling anymore!!

Better not break anything because of you do there goes your entire riding day. Even with the gates closing at 8:00. Figure they open at 9:00, you get on the trails by 9:45, stopping for lunch or snacks or whatever, break something, BAM it's 6:00. Screw that, I'll deal with the dust or mud at Hawk Pride when I'm back in a rig. ^^^^ That right there, and ride all night if you want to. Hate to hear the 9-6 thing. That brings the suck major league.

Well it was a blast. Only 5 rigs from B2B but we actually covered more Trails than I normally do in the time allowed. We did stop and do an apparent no no And had lunch on the trail. But when Wezzie broke a u joint on his drive shaft we moved him to the by pass and actually found the cap with most bearing in it and was able to fix it right there. Then Oscar decided he wanted to be a big pain in ass and he broke an axle. When tring to wench him off the trail to repair he broke the head on a fire but we managed to get it aired up right there( on board air is awesome). So back to getting him off the trail so he wouldn't block it ( since anbig no no ) got hung up again and a tree destroyed his right side pretty good. Let's just say can't open the right side back door from the out side anymore. We then hooked his winch to a rock and started pulling him off trail. Well Oscar just was not going quietly. Once almost on firm ground ( but all the way off the trail ) he decided to break his right ball joints. We had to use winch to a tree to hold him up while used high lift to get tire off and repair. Had to leav him there and goto Autozone and get new ball joints and an loaner press. While I was gone Chris and the Goulie broke an axle on the top of Gregs Rock same trail that Oscar broke at the entrance. Anyway got back and Chris and Greg got the ball joints in and axle as I was just in the way so it seemed. Took Oscar back to parking lot and grounded him to his trailer even though we had about hour more before they locked the gates. While putting him on trailer noticed almost where'd off a valve stem . Once again it was fun but with the new bs times doubt I will be going back any time soon. Was told by some that Friday they didn't open the gates til 11. Plus they can't seem to figure out what they want to charge . Seems like everyone paid a different amount. Also the bathrooms were super nasty. Just seems like they want to close the park and turn it into a hunting club or something. Thanks again Chris and Greg for taking time away from riding to fix Oscar and Wezzie for the ride to the parking lot.

So I hear 9-6 is year round operating hours. Thought maybe it was just going to be a fall/winter thing. Sad news indeed
