1996 Mark VIII, 281 C.I. 280hp 32 Valve V8 for those not familiar, 107K, converted to coil springs, needs a little tlc, upper ball joints/control arms, seller included new ones he never installed, misfire on cylinder 2, new plugs and driver side coil pack should fix it, charge up the A/C, driver seat pretty trashed under the seat cover, keyless entry pad fell down inside door because the tabs on it a re broken, put a pc of gorilla duct tape over the hole, passenger side outer door handle is inop, fuel door switch inop, driver side view mirror glass (ordered). Always loved these cars, had a '94 I paid $500 for and drove for nearly 3 years, got 20+ mpg w/ac on max, I took it to the track repeatedly, 15.0's@91mph pass after pass after pass, not too bad for a 3700lb luxo coupe, it wasn't near this nice though. Some 4.30's would really wake it up, has 3.07's stock.

I surprised some folks with a car just like that when they first come out. Loved that car. I'll never forget the look on the guys face when I blew his chevy truck with a 454 off the road. Fast, rode great, and with the air bags, it was easy to adjust the ride height via the trunk.

Changed the plugs and coil pack Friday after work, no more check engine light /grin/. Hit the jy yesterday and scored a passenger side door handle assembly........and in the same color...can you say hell yeah! Got a fuel door switch and a tensioner pulley and put them on. My cousin hit a yard down in Sardis and snagged me a pair of headlight housings. He's going back to get the grille because mine is tweaked, fixable with a lot of work but tweaked none the less. Going to try one or both of these with my two pair of housings. Mark VIII headlights are about the sorriest of any car..........ever. It currently has some ebay cheap ass HID swap crap in it that ain't gonna cut it. Plus, HID's aren't meant for stock non HID housings. Projector bulb retro fit...more expensive of the two...270.00, Moriomoto Matchbox 2.0 projectors, ballasts, wiring harness/relays. The only projectors small enough to fit inside the housings. If I go this route I will sand the inside of the housings down to remove the diffuser bumps and polish them in and out until they are clear. 4 halogen swap but you lose the flush housing front...100.00 or so Not looking forward to the ball joint swap /frown/ Plasti Dip is going to come into play as well................

Got the passenger side door handle replaced last weekend, major p.i.a. Did the upper ball joints and control arms this morning....no more squeaking and creaking. The uca/bj was easier than the door handle and took less time.
