Well after almost 2 years without a jeep we decide to get back in one. I wanted one with the newer motor and a 6 speed. Going be a bit of a learning curve with the clutch offroading but I have a few years of building before I go hardcore anyways. So I found a 2015 sport with the 6 speed for a good price. No rubicon since I most likely will be going with some heavier duty axles down the road. Overall the jeep with the newer motor is way better than my 07 auto!! Came with the little 16 inch sport wheels so I grabbed some rubicon wheels of Craigslist for 800 bucks and some rubicon sliders for 100 bucks. Ordered a PSC bumper and recon 10,5 winch. Ran the same winch on my old jeep and had go luck with it so I am trying it again. I am going to rewire it when I get home. When I get home I have a leveling kit, Evo skid plate system, PSC evap skid and PSC rocker armor to install. Then I will cut my fenders and throw on some 35s that I picked up on it.

Thanks everyone, the wife and kids are tickled to be back in a jeep again. Jackrabbit, I picked the wheels and tires up a the local shop. Someone ordered them, put a deposit down and never came back for them. So the guy made me a dang good deal on them.

Man I really like those wheels too! I've heard the newer motors are much better than the 07-11 motors. I don't know how much I would like wheeling with a manual....though I haven't ever done it. Welcome back!

Welcome back! I loved crawling with a manual... not sure about the JK's but I wouldn't have it any other way with the TJ.. So much more control and easier to switch gears when needed.. My next one will definitely be a manual!

My next one will definitely be a manual! So far I like the manual offroading, by the time I repeat axles and switch out to a atlas transfer case it should be pretty hard to stall on the climbs. I hope!!! I drove a manual out here that was running 5:13 gears and a rubicon case and it was sweet, would just crawl right along , the brakes would barely hold it back!! This motor with the manual is world's better than my 07, especially out here in the mountians!

Finally taking a break from showing my sister around and got time to work on the jeep. Got rid of the factory evap skid and installed the PSC skid. Out comes this one. The clips on the hoses are the biggest pain but i finally got them without breaking them. PSC installed. Next was the EVO pro tek skid system. Oil pan is unprotected stock. So i started with the oil pan skid. Easy swap. Next i did the trans skid even though i have a manual its needed to tie in the system. So that leaves the crosspipe, trans, pipe loop skid. Tomorrow i hope to do my rocker armor and shock relocation brackets, then leveling kit when i have time.
