Hope this makes sense. Iused an Advanve adapters 23 spline adapter plate to make my crawl box. I upgraded the output shaft on my transfer case with a Marlin 23 full spline output gear. When I went to assemble everything the two would not mate up. The splines engaged perfectly but the shaft wouldn't go all the way in the AA coupler. After a call to AA they advised that because the way Marlin machines their splines they will not fully mate. There is a 15 thousandths clearance problem. Now it's off to the machine shop tomorrow to get the coupler enlarged. Marlin full cut spline compared to stock The marks on the inside are where the output shaft hits the coupler The measurements of the two pieces GG

It's the small things huh?? lol
I went thru this on a Tcase once.. the helical gears were just a smidge off and made a nasty whine when it spun..
