got 4 st 205/75/15 radial tires I got to mount somehow this weekend. I have couple tire places around the corner just have not ask them how much yet. Do they even have to be balanced on the trailer? Also wonder if I would just be better off tring to mount them myself or buy the tire monger harbor freight has for $40 . My time is limited this weekend cause got to mount some lights on Oscar and get stuff ready for fall crawl. So just curious what my best option might be and most of all if they have to be balanced.

It'll probably tow a little better if they're balanced and you may get a few extra miles out of them along with less wear on the hub bearings, but it just really depends on how far out of balance they end up being.
I know a lot of people that haven't balanced their trailer tires and have never had any problems, not even a blowout. So its just up to you on if you want to spend the money or not.

They're easier to mount with a couple of tire irons than the HF manual tire machine. I don't ever balance mine, never had an issue.

I always balance mine. The reason is the same as on your car, you get better mileage out of the tires and the trailer pulls smoother. I know a lot of people that would never do it tho. Seems to be a matter of personal preference.
