Well... here goes. This is my first ever build thread so any helpful suggestions are very welcome. As a few of you know I got bitten by the jeep bug again last year. I found a nice 99 xj for a decent price and bit on it. My brother and his buddy Keith pointed me to this group and I've gotta say you are a great group of people. I met a bunch of you at the charity event at Lander's last year and had a ton of fun. Seing all the bigger jeeps had me itching to get Tinkerbell going so here we go. In all her fresh bought glory. First thing was to remove the stickers and get some new shoes. The existing tires were mismatched. 31's in the front and 32's in the rear Enter the 32 11.5 15 Cordovan Mud Claw's, rims, and major fender trimming. Sorry, didn't take pics during so these are from today... Added a Lock-right to the front and ran it at Hawk Pride like this and it was pretty sweet (till the radiator let go) Brought her home and started planing the rest. Enter the Iron Rock Offroad 4.5" Critical Path Longarm kit. A little over halfway done at the moment and will post some better pic's tomorrow if you guys want. (meh... I'll do it anyway) Locker for the rear and bumpers are next... any suggestions?

Glad to see you started your build thread. If I remember correctly you just got this thing when you came to Landers that day. From what I've heard you'll love that thing on a long arm kit. Nice choice!

I use to hate XJ's.. But since I've seen some really nice builds I've come to respect them at least.. Looks like your a mud lover.. My suggestion? Do as little mudding as possible. I've seen some really nice rides turn to junk and people waste hordes of money from mud damage.. It's worse than rock damage if ya ask me.. Lockers are nice but especially in the rear if your axle can handle it.. Makes 4's turn to 3's. Other than heat reduction somehow you have a very capable rig.. Oh and don't let the club fool ya.. we really are a bunch of pricks.
