Put the new cam position sensor in (full replacement, not just the cap) and he's drivable again. Still a slight miss at idle, so new spark plugs are next.

Did you make sure the sensor is clocked correctly? That could make it idle bad. There are a few you tube vids on how to do it. I always did the cap cause I didn't want to have to mess with the timing on the whole thing..

Yeah, it's correct.
Saying it has a 'miss' is an over exaggeration. Just slightly audible.
Runs great right now though. And not having to prime the fuel pump every time I start it is really nice!

Rebuilt and changed the oil in the air shocks and finally ordered some high pressure valve cores for them
