One of my boards finally cracked at one end due to rot. I know I could probably get by with it as is but had an idea. Yes, I could just replace to the rotting/rotted boards but what about sliding some over and having a space in the middle.? I'll put a brace between the remaining boards to keep them from shifting inward. Thoughts?

I don't see any issues unless you use it to haul other things like say heavy pallets where that board would help distribute the weight.

it takes about 5 minutes to replace that board the right way, why not just replace it ?

I was thinking about going to superlift this weekend and funds wouldn't be there for the trailer until I got back. Hence looking at other options but I may not go and just fix it right

Shift the boards over and screw the one that is broken in the middle. Problem solved and no cash spent.
