Having brake issues on my Toyota. Thought it might be that the master cylinder was to small and not moving enough fluid so I changed from a 15/16 bore 4Runner master cylinder to one for a 1 ton Chevy truck, 1 1/2 inch bore. Well the pedal feels exactly the same. Like I have no power assist. Getting vacuum to the booster and the booster is "supposed" to be a rebuilt one from rock auto.
I've never had a car that the booster went bad in so what does the pedal feel like when a booster goes bad?
My brakes is my last big issue that needs straightening out on my truck. With 4 piston calipers in the front and Monte Carlo calipers in the rear this thing should throw me through the windscreen when I hit the brakes.

Here's the new master cylinder mounted up. The thing in front is a proportion inc valve for the rear disc brakes. GG

My experience when a booster goes bad the pedal is hard with no movement. If you unhook the vac. line does it change anything?

yep the pedal will be hard when the booster is bad. you might want to try changing the hose to the booster. They can go bad and the inside layer of the hose will collapse and cause it to not get vacuum to the booster.
